Best Gluten Free Food at Bonefish Grill
I have some super exciting posts brewing that I’m not quite ready to share with you guys, so for now, we are going to talk about the best gluten free eats at one of my favorite chain restaurants—Bonefish Grill!
I’ve found Bonefish to be a safe reliable place for a delicious, healthy meal. They are also on DoorDash in our area, so bonus points for not having to leave the house.
It’s also a nicer sit down option for a night out. Bonefish has a lot of locations across the country, so it’s a dependable fall back option if you are traveling and there aren’t any good local gluten free restaurants. There are a ton of Bonefish locations in the Midwest, South, and West, and also a couple in New York and New Jersey as well.
I also love restaurants that have a gluten free option for every course—like Bonefish does. It’s nice when you are out dining with a group, or just with the fam, to feel included at every stage of the meal.
I hope you’re feeling meaty, because they have seven meat options to choose from (from both the land and sea) off the wood-fired grill portion of their menu—Atlantic Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Chilean Sea Bass, Rainbow Trout, Chicken Breast, Bone-In Pork Chop, Scallops and Shrimp Skewer.
The cool thing about picking an option from the the wood-fired grill is that you then get an option of four sauces—Lemon-Caper Butter, Lemon Butter, Mango Salsa, and Chimichurri Sauce—giving you 28 different meal combinations to be exact 🙂
If you need a place to start, I love the Chimichurri sauce with the Salmon or Mahi Mahi. I also think the jasmine rice is a great pairing with this—gosh rice is nice! I talk about a few more of my favorite entrees below, but first let’s start with an appetizer!
Bonefish Gluten Free Appetizer
For an appetizer, Bonefish has Mussels Josephine (order without bread!), which includes tomatoes, red onion, garlic, basil, and lemon wine sauce. I’ve yet to try this, but it sounds delicious!
Favorite Gluten Free Bonefish Entrees
Here are a few of my personal favorite gluten free entrees at Bonefish Grill.
Lily’s Chicken: Grilled chicken with goat cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, and lemon basil sauce. This thing should be called Kyle’s Chicken, because I love all of these ingredients! It reminds me of Carrabba’s Chicken Bryan, but with spinach and artichoke hearts instead of sun-dried tomatoes. You’ll also feel happy that you are getting your greens in with this dish. Without even really trying to eat something green, I doordashed this on St. Patty’s Day and was happy with myself for eating green healthy stuff and for eating green for the holiday too lol.
Fontina Pork Chop: This grilled pork chop is accompanied with fontina cheese, garlic, prosciutto and mushroom Marsala wine sauce. I’ve always been a sucker for a delicious pork chop, but somehow I’d never had one with cheese on it! This entree is soo rich, it’s sinful, and delicious! It’s not exactly a typical choice for a seafood restaurant, or as healthy as getting fish, but if you are feeling curious and in the mood for something ultra savory then go for it. But be sure to save room for dessert!
Wood-Fire Grilled Atlantic Salmon or Mahi Mahi with Chimichurri Sauce – As I mentioned above, the Chimichurri Sauce is my favorite topping and pairs perfectly with the jasmine rice. I love the Chimichurri on both the salmon and the mahi mahi. This item is pictured above.
Additional Gluten Free Bonefish Entrees
Additional entrees include the Chimichurri Bistro Filet, Filet Mignon, The Angler’s Sirloin Steak, and Chicken Marsala. Bonefish also has “Perfect Pairings” entrees where you choose one of the following pairings with two sides.
- Mahi-Mahi & Shrimp
- Filet & Lobster Tail
- Sirloin & Shrimp
- Chicken & Shrimp
There are even more entree options as Bonefish Grill also features some delicious gluten free entree salads.
I know, I know, another gluten free salad. But I feel like there’s a big difference between a really great salad and a boring, plain salad. Bonefish has some good ones that you can order as entrees with chicken, wood-grilled shrimp, or salmon.
Bonefish Grill Gluten Free Entree Salads
- Bonefish House Salad: hearts of palm, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, pepitas, and citrus herb vinaigrette.
- Classic Caesar Salad: crisp romaine lettuce tossed with Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese (order without croutons).
- Florida Cobb Salad: crisp chopped greens with mango, tomato, blue cheese crumbles and pepitas, tossed in citrus herb vinaigrette with wood-grilled chicken.
Gluten Free Sides
Bonefish’s gluten free sides include Garlic Whipped Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables (it seems like this always means broccoli??), and Jasmine Rice. You can also get Steamed Asparagus for an extra price, which I always do because it’s fat and kinda salty and lovely.
My favorite side would have to be Jasmine Rice. I’m always a sucker for some really good rice and Bonefish’s is sooo flavorful and perfectly cooked.
Bonefish’s Gluten Free Dessert!
BEHOLD…
Bonefish Grill’s flourless Macadamia Nut Brownie with all the fixins’.
I think it has a lot to do with raspberry sauce, but I love this flourless brownie with raspberry sauce, whipped cream, vanilla icecream, and macadamia nuts. I don’t know what it is about flourless chocolate cakes and brownies that really do it for me, maybe it’s the texture and that they are so moist.
Bonefish Also Has Catering
I need to add Bonefish to my catering post, because they also offer catering! I love this idea for a family event or shower.
