GFG’s Favorite Killer Gluten Free Sauces, Dressings, & Condiments

Are you new to gluten free and not sure where to start on gluten free sauces, dressings, and condiments? I feel like my “go-to” favorites are so ingrained now, I forget how hard it can be in the beginning of being gluten free. Reading all the labels and Googling in the middle of the grocery store—what a nightmare.

Condiments, dressings, and sauces are prime real estate for hidden gluten too, as wheat and other sources of gluten are often used to thicken these products up.

But, don’t be deterred, there are a ton of great gluten free sauces out there!

And thank goodness for that because the right sauce can turn a mediocre gluten free dish into an excellent one. Ever had a gluten free meal that was dry or the texture just seemed off or it was lacking flavor something…yeah, sauces can help with that.

Luckily for you, I’m here to tell you about all the favorites I’ve found over the years to help guide you on your way! I’ve even done double and triple checking just to make sure nothing has changed in these ingredients recently, so I don’t steer you wrong.

It feels odd writing this post in a week as these are favorites that I’ve learned about, bought, and loved over the YEARS.

Grilling season is upon us, so let’s stock up that pantry and fridge with some delicious, sometimes addicting, sometimes spicy, and most-certainly gluten free sauces, dressings, and condiments.

A really good sauce can definitely turn a whole meal around! And being gluten free definitely doesn’t mean missing out on delicious sauces as you’ll read below.

Classic Condiments

Heinz Ketchup, Mustard, Sweet Relish, & Much More: Heinz is a great resource for your classic three hot dog condiments—ketchup, mustard, and relish. They also have many more gluten free sauces including Worcestershire Sauce, Chili Sauce, and Cocktail Sauce.

Salad Dressings

Ken’s Ranch: We always, always have Ken’s Ranch in our house.  I love some Ken’s Ranch with my wings for dipping or with pizza to make a dry gluten free crust seem less dry.

Ken’s Italian: Ken’s Italian is go-to salad dressing for a simple spinach salad. We also use Ken’s Italian Salad Dressing as a marinade for our wings. Speaking of wings, check out my favorite Super Bowl recipes here!

Brianna’s Asiago Caesar Dressing: A yummy dressing for your Caesar salad. I also love to use it in this recipe for Caesar Artichoke Spinach Dip from Iowa Girl Eats. She has a TON of great recipes if you haven’t checked out this blog yet.

Buffalo, BBQ, & Hot Sauce

Sweet Baby Rays BBQ: This is our go-to BBQ sauce. It’s perfect with ribs or making BBQ bacon-wrapped water chestnuts!

Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo: A flavorful, nice medium heat. I also love the Memphis Style from Sweet Baby Rays.

Frank’s Hot Sauce: Sometimes nothing beats some Frank’s pooling on top of a freshly baked gluten free pizza. Or spice up your eggs in the morning, it’s so delicious with omelets particularly.  Frank’s also makes wing sauce which, is a little thicker and hotter than Sweet Baby Ray’s.

Tabasco: All of the Tabasco hot sauce flavors are gluten free!

Hot Honey

Mike’s Hot Honey: Mike’s Hot Honey is 100% honey infused with chilis. It is a GAME CHANGER.  Putting hot honey on pizza, or cheese and crackers in my new favorite thing. It’s such an easy and delicious way to spice up a simple charcuterie board. Ever had hot honey and goat cheese?! Sooo good!

Pasta Sauce

Thrive Market Organic Roasted Garlic Sauce: I was blown away by how much I enjoyed Thrive Market’s Organic Roasted Garlic Sauce. So flavorful and garlicky—I’m definitely getting more with my next order. It also went great with Cappello’s gluten free ravioli, also from Thrive Market! Check out some of the other awesome foods that Thrive Market has to offer in this post! Don’t miss out on this wide variety of gluten free foods delivered right to your door.

Rao’s Marinara Pasta and Roasted Garlic Sauces: Available in Kroger, Walmart, and Target, Rao’s Marinara Pasta and Roasted Garlic sauces are gluten free and a perfect match for some gluten free pasta, like Jovial or Tinkyada—two of my favorites. Rao’s also has gluten free Alfredo Sauce!

Worcestershire Sauce

Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce: Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce is cholesterol-free, fat-free, preservative-free, and gluten-free. It also has 80% less sodium than soy sauce, allowing you to add more flavor without the guilt.

Heinz Worcestershire Sauce: As mentioned above, Heinz is another alternative for a gluten free Worcestershire Sauce.  Worcestershire comes up every once in awhile in different recipes, so it’s good to have a gluten free one handy.

Soy Sauce

Who doesn’t love hibachi?! There are a few different gluten free soy sauces out there. The ones I see pretty frequently are Kikkoman and San-J Tamari.

Kikkoman Soy Sauce: Make sure you are getting the GF one! Kikkoman makes both.

San-J Tamari Soy Sauce: If you also have a soy allergy, San-J makes a sauce that tastes just like soy sauce, but it both soy free and gluten free.

Mayo Mixes

You can also get creative and try your hand with mixing some sauces. Mayo is a good place to start, try these Mayo mixes for a delicious, gluten free sauce.  I use Hellmann’s Mayonnaise.

Yummy Gluten Free Sauces from Restaurants

Chick-fil-a Sauce: Chick-fil-a has some truly delicious sauces and thankfully nearly all of them are gluten free. Chick-fil-a gluten free sauces include BBQ Sauce, Chick-fil-A Sauce, Honey Mustard Sauce, Honey Roasted BBQ Sauce, Polynesian Sauce, Zesty Buffalo Sauce, Avocado Lime Ranch Dress, Creaming Salsa Dressing, Fat Free Honey Mustard Dressing, Garden Herb Ranch Dressing, Light Balsamic, Light Italian, Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette.

My favorites are the Chick-fil-a Sauce and the Polynesian.

Red Robin Sauces and Ketchups: It seems like not many places have safe gluten free fries these days as well as a gluten free burger bun (let alone a really good one), so we’ve been eating a lot of Red Robin.  There’s a lot to like about Red Robin from the huge steak fries and soft “realistic” not-at-all-crumbling gluten free bun. You can also sauce up your meal with a great many choices of gluten free sauces and ketchups such as Buzz Sauce, Chipotle Aioli, Island Heat Sauce, Scorpion Sauce, Smoke n Pepper Ketchup, Sweet & Spicy Ketchup. My daughter and I absolutely love the Sweet & Spicy Ketchup!

Bibibop Sauces: I’m obsessed with Bibibop’s Yum Yum Sauce, I need to go ahead and buy a big bottle of it. There are a few hibachi places near us that will make you gluten free hibachi in separate areas from the gluten hibachi, but many times their Yum Yum sauce is not gluten free, so it’s good to have some yum yum on hand.

See my post on fast food restaurants for more information on super quick and gluten free bites to eat including more about Bibibop and Chick-fil-a.
